Rob Humm is an associate practicing in the Litigation Group, representing clients in a wide range of civil matters.  Mr. Humm brings his competitive spirit, steadfast work ethic, and extensive legal training - including successfully trying several cases as a student attorney -  when litigating on behalf of his clients.  Mr. Humm first learned to build complex litigation cases as part of The Station Nightclub Fire Investigation Team at the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General.

Mr. Humm is civic-minded and committed to community service. Among other activities, he serves as Vice President of the Roger Williams University School of Law Alumni Association.

Significant Matters

  • Mr. Humm has obtained dismissals in the defense of numerous cases on behalf of his clients.
  • Recently, Mr. Humm helped win summary judgment in an employment discrimination case entitled  Bucci v. Hurd Automotive Group. (C.A. NO. 08-0231, R.I. Super.).  The court found that his client was entitled to judgment as a matter of law on the claims of a woman who alleged that the termination of her employment resulted from age and disability discrimination in violation of the Rhode Island Fair Employment Practices Act and was in retaliation for exercising her rights under the Rhode Island Parental & Family Medical Leave Act. 
  • Mr. Humm successfully argued against a major event planning corporation to earn his clients their full demand in an arbitration award.
  • He has worked on many significant cases involving the review of ESI (electronically stored information).
  • He has extensive experience working on insurance defense matters for the firm's clients.
  • Mr. Humm won several trials in Rhode Island state courts as a student attorney.

  • At Roger Williams University School of Law, elected vice president of Student Bar Association, and vice president of Honor Board.
  • Winner of Brown University's Thomas Hoagland Award, presented to the member of the varsity basketball team who exemplifies true unselfishness through commitment and hard work both on the court and in the community.
  • Recipient of Brown University’s Woody Grimshaw Memorial Award, presented to basketball team member displaying the most positive attitude and best spirit.
