AP&S Appoints Michael C. Gilleran and Jonathan M. Sachs to Shareholder & Brian R. Birke and Rory Z. Fazendeiro to Counsel

Michael C. Gilleran joined the firm in 2008 as Counsel.  Mr. Gilleran’s practice focuses on contract, financial and banking, and insurance disputes, as well as trademark and patent disputes. Mr. Gilleran received his J.D. from New York University and his B.A. from College of William & Mary. Previously, he was a partner at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge and had served as a Special Assistant Attorney General of Massachusetts.

Jonathan M. Sachs joined the firm in 2008 as Counsel.  Mr. Sachs concentrates his practice on real estate and specializes in hospitality related transactions.  He also represents various financial institutions in loan workout and recovery scenarios.  Mr. Sachs received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Lawrence University.  Prior to joining AP&S, Mr. Sachs was a partner in the real estate law group at Hinckley Allen & Snyder.

Brian R. Birke joined the firm as an Associate in 2001. Mr. Birke’s practice includes complex commercial disputes, business torts, and unfair trade practice claims. Mr. Birke received his J.D. from Northeastern University and his B.A. from the University of Rhode Island.  Prior to joining AP&S he was a public affairs counselor for multinational corporations and foreign governments. 

Rory Z. Fazendeiro joined the firm in 2006 as an Associate. Mr. Fazendeiro’s experience includes shareholder litigation, partnership disputes, real estate litigation, non-competition and trade secret litigation, securities and financial services litigation, employment-related disputes, general liability litigation and insurance coverage.  He received his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, his M.Ed., from East Stroudsburg University and his B.A. from Hobart College.
