Sally Dowling Receives Community Service Award

Sally T. Dowling, who has been part of the Corporate Group at AP&S for nearly 30 years, has been named by the Junior League of Rhode Island to its list of "The Rhode Island 85." 

In celebration of its 85 anniversary, the Junior League is honoring 85 Rhode Island women whose commitment to community service exemplifies the values of the organization.  The awards were presented at a gala, "In Her Shoes&.85 Years of Women Building Better Communities," that was held on May 19, 2007 at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI.

Mrs. Dowling has a long history as a volunteer for her community, including having served as chair of Trinity Repertory Company, as vice chair of the Providence Charter Review Commission, as chair of the Providence Salary Review Commission, as a trustee of The Providence Foundation and as a member of the Providence School Board Salary Review Commission.  She is currently president of the Dunes Club and the Dunes Corporation, as well as Trustee Emeritus of Trinity Repertory Company.   Mrs. Dowling was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service degree from Rhode Island College in 2003.
