Kanter Elected To American College of Mortgage Attorneys

Stanley J. Kanter, Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Group, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a national organization of highly skilled attorneys who are experienced in the preparation of real estate mortgages, lending transactions secured by real estate, and related practice.  The College seeks to improve and reform laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions and to raise the level of professional responsibility of lawyers practicing in this area.

Fellowship in ACMA is by nomination only.  ACMA’s members include private practitioners as well as in-house and government lawyers and prominent members of the academic community. 

Mr. Kanter has represented builders in all phases of project development, including  the permit process, negotiating and drafting complex leases, operating agreements and easements.  He counsels multi-national corporations and family-owned businesses in all aspects of the purchase, development, leasing, financing and sale of real estate in Rhode Island and elsewhere.
