Cheryl Clarkin Presents Trademarks & Copyrights for the Artist

The Arts & Cultural Alliance, in collaboration with the Preservation Society of Newport County, will be hosting a seminar on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 9:00am – 10:00am at the offices of the Preservation Society.

Cheryl will be presenting on Trademarks & Copyrights for Artists along with Tom Roskelly, award-winning Graphic Designer & Brand Specialist of Roskelly Inc.
Intellectual property rights give musicians and artists control over their artistic works (music, sculptures, photographs, etc.) as well as their name and brand. Copyright laws protect creative works, whereas trademark laws govern the naming rights and goodwill in the brand. This seminar will help artists understand the differences between copyrights and trademarks which help to ensure the creative works and brands are properly protected.

Space is limited, and advance registration is required.  Register at info@newportarts.org
