Job Summary
As a Senior Commercial Lending Attorney, you will provide strategic legal counsel across all aspects of commercial mortgage loan administration, servicing, operations, and real estate investment. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance while supporting business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in commercial finance and banking law, with a strong understanding of diverse lending structures and transactions. You will lead complex lending agreements, mitigate legal risks, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex syndicated loan and leveraged finance transactions from initiation through closing.
- Manage multiple high-value matters in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
- Own transaction workstreams, supervise junior attorneys, and ensure seamless client delivery.
- Advise on equity and debt financing options, including construction and acquisition financing.
- Assist in drafting and implementing participation agreements.
- Draft and negotiate loan documents, modifications, and investor agreements.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership required.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in commercial real estate lending or related practice areas.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial finance, equity, debt, and secured lending.
