Overview
Julissa is a member of the firm’s litigation group. Her practice focuses on representing developers and property owners at all aspects of real estate development and land use permitting.
She assists clients throughout the development and permitting process, including with comprehensive permit applications, residential development projects, zoning matters, variances, special use permits, administrative appeals, proceedings before municipal boards and commissions, and statutory changes affecting real estate development. She also assists clients with administrative and judicial appeals arising from land use and permitting decisions and with litigation involving municipal and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Adler Pollock & Sheehan, Julissa gained experience representing public sector clients as acting solicitor for municipal boards and commissions.
Julissa received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law and is a magna cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Law through the 3+3 Business Law Program.
Julissa is a graduate of the 2024-2025 Rhode Island Bar Leadership Academy. She previously sat as a member on the Providence Historic District Commission, and the Providence Green and Complete Streets Advisory Council.
