Thomas S. Phelps

Overview

Thomas is a member of the firm’s litigation group.  His practice includes a variety of civil litigation issues, including commercial disputes and employment issues.

Before joining Adler Pollock & Sheehan, Thomas earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School. While there, he interned for the Hon. Richard M. Berman in the District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Hon. O. Rogeriee Thompson in the Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  He is also a graduate of Brown University, where he was captain of the varsity crew team and received a B.A. in history and political science.

Experience

• Assisted with successful dispositive motion on behalf on a financial institution to dismiss complaint alleging breach of fiduciary duty
• Assisted with successful motion to dismiss concerning federal employment discrimination claims
• Assisted with successful disposition of agency hearing regarding alleged whistleblower claim concerning violations of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Assisted with successful motion to dismiss federal employment discrimination claim for client’s former head of finance.
