Dan has been appointed by Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. to the U.S. District Court Advisory Council for the District of Rhode Island.
This newly formed Court Advisory Council will take over the responsibilities previously held by the Local Rules, District Conference, Bench/Bar, Admissions and Attorney Education committees.
Judge McConnell explains that the council’s mission is to “identify, study and propose actions to assist the court in securing the just, speedy and inexpensive determination of every action and proceeding; provide input from the bar; advise on the administration of the bar fund; and to otherwise assist in court businesses, such as developing new projects.”
