Overview
Matthew is a member of the firm’s Business & Corporate Law Group. Matthew has experience representing clients in matters concerning mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, securities, taxation, finance, corporate governance, cryptocurrency, and regulatory compliance. Before joining AP&S, Matthew was an associate at an international law firm located in Boston, MA, where he advised asset management and financial services organizations, including registered investment companies, and their investment advisers and boards of directors, on securities registration and regulation, periodic reporting, correspondence, and exemptive relief before the United States Securities and Exchange Commission while maintaining an active pro bono practice in immigration and clemency.
During law school, Matthew worked in the legal department of a public corporation based in Providence, RI, served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and was an Articles Editor for the Roger Williams University Law Review. Matthew holds an M.S. and a B.S. from the University of Rhode Island and has significant professional experience in the accounting and finance industry.
