AP&S represented St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island in the negotiation of a healthcare system affiliation and development agreement with Roger Williams Hospital. The agreement contemplates an affiliation between these hospitals to be accomplished by the creation of a common parent company, CharterCare Health Partners.
The affiliation requires the approval of the Rhode Island Attorney General and the Rhode Island Department of Health under the Hospital Conversions Act (“HCA”). The HCA application includes over 20,000 pages of exhibits.
Sally Dowling negotiated the affiliation agreement and Pat Rocha is responsible for the HCA application.
