Robert Brooks received the Community Partner Award for his pro bono legal services to Dorcas Place at its Annual Student Recognition and Graduation Event on June 16, 2009. This year more than 400 students received recognition for achievements in their adult education classes with 22 students receiving GED’s. Dorcas Place Adult and Family Learning Center provides low-income Rhode Islanders the educational opportunities they need to realize their full potential through literacy, employment, advocacy and community involvement.
