On Friday, October 27, 2023, John received the Partnership Award at RIBBA’s Annual Awards Gala. The theme at this year’s gala was “Thriving Futures: The Collective Power of Now,” symbolizing progress, community empowerment, unity, and charting a brighter path for the future.
The recipients of RIBBA’s 2023 Awards Program were honored for their achievements in exhibiting exceptional leadership, resiliency, and influence in their field, and their relentless service to our community. Each recipient has made immense contributions to economic-community development and demonstrates a tremendous passion for diversity and inclusion in the State of Rhode Island. Their monumental leadership and service in our great state have cultivated immense growth and inspiration for Rhode Island individuals of color.
The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the business opportunities and vitality of Black-owned and minority businesses in Rhode Island through business development resources, entrepreneurship training, business advocacy, contracting, workforce development, and access to capital.
