John Tarantino Honored By the Federal Hill House Association

John Tarantino is being honored by the Federal Hill House Association at their 125th Year Celebration and Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Providence Marriot.  John will be receiving the Legacy of Service Award, which is designed to honor individuals who have given selflessly of their time and themselves to not only the Federal Hill House Association but also the community at large. John has been involved with the Federal Hill Association for over twenty years.

The Federal Hill House Association is one of Providence’s – and the country’s- oldest settlement house agencies.  Founded in 1887, it helped meet the basic needs of nearly 40,000 Italian immigrants that had settled in Rhode Island’s capital city.  It is now an integral part of the Providence landscape, serving a highly diverse population and helping approximately 5000 individuals annually.
