Susan Leach DeBlasio, Senior Counsel at AP&S, and Daniel W. Majcher, Rhode Island Department of Administration, co-authored the lead article in the November/December 2024 issue of the Rhode Island Bar Journal.
The article is intended to provide guidance to attorneys representing clients who would like to enter into contracts with the State of Rhode Island to furnish goods or services, including construction services. The article: (1) addresses how to identity the general terms and conditions that may apply to any agreement with the State; (2) explains the State’s updated contracting process; and (3) offers direction on how to address contractual issues with the State.
A past president of both the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Foundation, and past Editor-in-Chief of the Bar Journal, Susan practices corporate, construction, and health care law and is a frequent seminar presenter on the topics of business law, practice management, and legal ethics.
