Adler Pollock & Sheehan welcomes Matthew Waters and Kathryn Rogers O’Brien.
Matthew Waters is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice encompasses a broad array of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public finance, tax matters, entity formation and dissolution, and real estate. Matt brings a diverse blend of local and global perspectives to his work. Before joining Adler Pollock & Sheehan, he served as Senior Legal Counsel to the Rhode Island Division of Taxation. He also has experience working overseas for a law firm that serves the international shipping industry, and he is proficient in Mandarin.
Matt received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, his M.A. from Columbia University and his B.A., cum laude, from George Washington University.
Kathryn Rogers O’Brien is an associate in the firm’s Litigation department, where she represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil disputes in both state and federal court. Her varied practice includes defending product liability cases and toxic tort matters on behalf of the firm’s clients. Kate also has experience in personal injury and wrongful death actions, premises liability, professional malpractice claims, employment-related disputes, contract matters, and construction-related claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Kate practiced at litigation firms in the Providence, R.I. area. She received her J.D. from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and her A.B., from Brown University.
