AP&S Welcomes New Associates

Both the Providence and Boston offices have added new attorneys recently.  Joining the firm are:

Nicole J. Dulude has joined the Providence office as a litigation associate. Most recently, Nicole was lead law clerk for Rhode Island Supreme Court Chief Justice Frank J. Williams. She received her J.D. in 2006 from Roger Williams University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude, and she was managing editor of the Law Review. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Saikon T. Gbehan completed an 11-week internship with AP&S last year and has returned as an associate in the Litigation Group in the Providence office. Prior to joining AP&S, she worked as a judicial intern in the Atlanta, Georgia Superior Court and at the Virgin Islands Department of Justice, Attorney General’s Office. She received her law degree from Northeastern University in 2008. While in law school she interned for the Virgin Islands Department of Justice. Saikon is a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Robert J. Humm joins the Litigation Group in the Providence office as an associate. Rob received his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2008, where he served as vice president of the Student Bar Association and vice president of the Honor Board. While in law school, he interned with the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office as a Rule 9 attorney. He received his B.A. from Brown University in 2004, and interned with AP&S while attending Brown.

Michael R. Kiely has joined the Boston office as an associate in the Litigation Group where his practice focuses on asbestos, toxic tort and product liability defense.  Most recently, Michael served as in-house counsel at Electric Insurance Company. As Environmental Litigation Counsel, he managed all phases of multi-party asbestos litigation and successfully negotiated settlements when corporate strategy dictated.  He received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2006 and he is a 2001 graduate of Fairfield University, where he received a B.A. degree in Communications.

Julia B. Techentin is an associate in the business and corporate, mergers and acquisitions and energy and telecommunications groups in the Providence office. Prior to joining the firm, Julia was a corporate associate at Dechert in Philadelphia. She has worked on all aspects of general corporate matters including corporate organization, governance and compliance. She has taught transactional law at Southern New England School of Law. Julia received her J.D. magna cum laude from Rutgers School of Law, and she received her undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 1990.
