  • Successfully represented Rhode Island compassion centers in the regulatory review process.
  • Defended multiple compassion centers in enforcement actions by their state regulator.
  • Provided regulatory advice to a national retailer regarding the sale of CBD products.
  • Representing a licensed cannabis business with respect to general corporate and tax transactional matters.
  • Represented a compassion center in a contractual dispute with a cultivator.
  • Counseled many business clients regarding their obligations to employees who use medical marijuana under Rhode Island’s medical marijuana statute.
  • Provided advice and drafted non-compete and confidentiality agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks for a licensed cannabis business.
  • Represented patent-holder in connection with breach of license agreement for cannabinoid-extraction patent.
  • Successfully pursued a cannabinoid extraction patent on behalf of a producer of hemp based products, including CBD oil.
