We represent some of the largest energy utility companies in the United States with comprehensive advice to facilitate some of the largest (500 to 1,000 MW) and most efficient thermal energy projects in the region. Utilizing our experience and relationships with the key players in the industry and government, we secured site control for a large-scale combined cycle thermal energy project. We also provide the critical legal representation necessary to allow our developer clients to secure the necessary environmental permits, energy facility siting approvals, real estate agreements, local municipal approvals, construction agreements, labor contracts, legislation and the required financing from investors. We also advise the financial industry and other investors as to their due diligence when seeking mergers and acquisitions in various energy business ventures.
Renewable Energy Development
We represent several energy project developers as lead counsel for their successful development of the largest solar energy development in Rhode Island, located on a closed municipal landfill in the City of East Providence, Rhode Island. From site control, securing financing and equity investment, and land use to innovative zoning, permitting and construction AP&S provided innovative and effective legal advice for this first-of-its-kind development in the region. We also are counsel to several wind, solar, hydro, landfill gas, waste to energy, tidal, and other renewable energy developers with projects seeking to expand the availability of clean and sustainable forms of energy in response to climate change and environmental initiatives in ways that also promote new job creation.
Telecommunications, Cable and Broadband Internet
