AP&S Welcomes Associates

AP&S has added five new associates in both the Corporate and Litigation Groups. Attorneys Kip Adams, Kyle Zambarano, Minette Loula, Claudia Matzko and John Russell have joined the firm.

Minette M. Loula practices in the Litigation Group on a wide variety of matters in the Providence office. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the New Hampshire Superior Court and was a Legal Intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review in Miami, Florida. She also completed a fellowship with the Sonoma County Economic Development Board in Santa Rosa, California. She received her law degree from Boston University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Brown University.

Also a new associate in the Providence Litigation Group is Kyle Zamabarano, whose practice includes a wide variety of civil matters. Before joining AP&S, Mr. Zambarano served as a law clerk for Chief Justice Frank J. Williams of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. In the second year of his clerkship, he served as the lead law clerk in Chief Justice Williams’ chambers, assisting in various administrative duties. He earned his law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and in the top ten percent of his class. He is also a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Kip J. Adams is practicing in the Litigation Group in the Boston office, focusing on products liability, toxic tort and insurance defense. Prior to joining the firm, he was with the Boston law firm of Pierce, Davis & Perritano, LLP, where he assisted in the defense of various civil actions in State court. He developed experience in toxic tort litigation while serving on a national defense team and became proficient in the discovery and trial practice procedures of multiple U.S. jurisdictions. He received his law degree from Suffolk University and his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College.

Claudia J. Matzko has joined the Corporate Group in the Providence office. She served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Bruce M. Selya in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Ronald R. Lagueux in the U.S. District Court, District of Rhode Island. Ms. Matzko earned her law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2006. Ms. Matzko was also the Chief Research Assistant for The Honorable Robert G. Flanders, Former Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Prior to law school, she was a Professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has lectured widely and is an accomplished artist whose work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Also added to the Corporate Group in Providence is John D. Russell, practicing Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax and Real Estate Law. He attended Boston University School of Law and received an L.L.M. in Tax Law in 2006. He earned his law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. Prior to law school, he was the Assistant Tax Assessor for the town of Westport, CT and a Deputy Clerk at United States Bankruptcy Court in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
