Michael D’Ippolito, board member of the American Mock Trial Association and head coach of Brown University’s mock trial program, has led the team to earn one of the final bids to the National Championship Tournament. Out of 731 teams across North America, only 48 earn a bid to compete for the national title. This is the first time in over five years that any Rhode Island-based school has earned a National Championship Tournament bid.
Adler Pollock & Sheehan is proud to have sponsored the American Mock Trial Association’s Providence Regional Tournament, hosted by Brown University on February 18-19, 2023. Thanks to the efforts of AP&S and Brown University, over 200 undergraduate students – representing 14 universities and colleges across the New England region – were able to showcase their critical thinking and public speaking skills while demonstrating their knowledge of legal practices and procedures. Assessing this next generation of lawyers was an exceptional judging pool that included Rhode Island Superior Court justices, federal prosecutors and defenders, as well as several members of AP&S’s litigation team.
The National Championship Tournament will take place next month in Memphis, Tennessee. Wish Michael and the team luck!
