Victoria M. Almeida, Vice Chairperson of the RI Parole Board, has been selected as a 2010 recipient of the Justice Assistance’s Neil J. Houston, Jr. Memorial Award. This prestigious award is given to those who by “professional performance and personal demeanor exhibit dedicated service and citizen contribution towards the criminal justice profession and the public interest.” The presentation took place on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Providence Renaissance Hotel. Miss Almeida is a shareholder in the law firm of Adler Pollock & Sheehan and is Co-Chair of its Government Relations and Higher Education Practice groups. She is Immediate Past President of the RI Bar Association and first recipient of the Victoria M. Almeida Servant Leader Award named in her honor.
